Yay Fudge!!!!!!!!

So last night I attempted to make fudge... again... and i came by this recipe accidentally!!   This happened when I decided that I was going to make some no bake cookies... and one of the ingrediants that I like to use is --------------------->

And guess what I found on the back of the container... yes you guessed it... a fudge recipe... and I thought ok this is called "Never Fail" fudge... so... if I fail I will never ever EVER attempt to make fudge again!!!!

 ingredients are highlighted in orange!

Soooooooooo... I got to work... and I started to make the fudge...
This is: 5 cups of sugar, 2 small (5 oz.) cans of evaporated milk, 1/4 cup of butter (umm.. recipe says 1/4 lb... but nope I will not do that so i tweaked it lol), 1 16oz jar are marshmallow fluff, and... 1 Teaspoon on salt

So of course you combine these first 5 ingredients in a large sauce pan... stir over low heat until it is blended... then
bring to a boil over moderate heat, being careful not to mistake escaping air bubbles for boiling... then boil slowly, stirring constantly for 5 minutes... (use the soft ball test)

Remove from heat and stir in 1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla and 2 12oz  packages of semi-sweet chocolate pieces ( i used Tollhouse chocolate chips!) until chocolate is melted. (stir this really fast to get it all mixed in before it starts to harden) then pour it into 2 buttered 9 x 9 inch pans and cool!!
                                YAY!! NEVER FAIL FUDGE!

Here is the link to making only half of the amount! This could be easier for you to understand!

So I was met by a pleasant surprise today when I entered my little blog... I have 5 followers!!!!  I am so excited about this!!  So that means I have to step up and get some more blogs going!  I have been wanting to blog about a lot of things; for example.. my awesome new Cricut and my Sure Cuts A Lot 2 program to go with it... and some cookies I have been working on and my sadness about how I can't make fudge because it keeps turning into a runny mess!!  That might be my next one because I just can't get the hang of it and it makes me sad because as a child I always got home made fudge... and now I want to make it myself instead of having to buy it from someone and it just isnt going well... so if anyone has a good recipe that might be easy or some suggestions on what I could be doing wrong that would be awesome!!

Well I will be sure to get some pictures taken and and to start "blogging it up" hee hee hee!!!!!

Thanks for following hopefully we get alot more!!!

Update on the pregnancy

I realized that it has been a long time since I have posted anything about my pregnancy.  It has been going well, not as well as my pregnancy with my daughter but well enough.  The doctor has scheduled my C-Section for November 22!  So I am excited but I am super SUPER tired and I just want this little guy out of me!  It will be nice to have my little guy in my arms!  His big sister is very very excited about him!  Today I decided to put the car seat in the car and when my daughter got in the car from Headstart she said "mom did the baby come out already" and I couldn't help but laugh... here is an updated picture of the little guy that is swimming in there.
And here is a picture of his big sister being silly at her dad's school!

So that is how the pregnancy is going... the next time hopefully I will have my little boy in my arms!

Home made pizza is AWESOME!!!! (includes links to recipes)

This is the homemade pizza that I decided I wanted to throw together for my daughter and me.  My husband is at school so I decided it would be a nice homemade pizza day!  The crust is homemade but I didn't feel up to making the sauce homemade like I usually do.  Here is a link to a great pizza dough recipe!!  And I will also include this easy pizza sauce recipe! Just incase you want to use it!  Then of course your can put any toppings you want on it!!
Don't forget!  If you have children this is a fun thing to do with them!  When I was a child I always loved to makes faces on my pizzas and my daughter is the same way!

Happy cooking!!!

A little confused and scared

Last Monday I went to my doctors appointment it was a very exciting morning because I was having another ultrasound... and I am always excited about seeing my little man.  After my ultrasound the doctor came in and told me my little man is too small... And I couldn't help but be stunned, I mean I am not a small person and when I was born I was over 9 lbs, and my husband is not a small man... he was born three months early and he was over 5 lbs... I mean think about how big he would have been considering you gain 1/2 a lbs every week the last three months you are in the womb.  So of course I was completely shocked, my daughter was a perfect 7lbs 9ozs This is just a little crazy, then they tell me with in the past two weeks the protein in my urine went from 0 to 131... just two weeks... if it gets over 300 then they are putting me in the hospital until he is born.  Today I am 28 weeks and 6 days... and they said that he is only about 2lbs 9ozs... but everything I read say that this is normal weight for gestation, but my doctor says that it is too small... So now I am scared of course being me I had to look up what could happen if he was born really small, there could be so many issues that I don't want to list them all here but this is called SGA (Small for Gestational Age) of course they want me back in two weeks to check my protein and they want me back in four weeks for another ultrasound to see if he has progressed with his weight...I guess we will see what happens... I just need to keep the faith that he will be ok.

cute little jacket I crocheted for my little guy!!

This is my little girl holding up the little sweater jacket I crocheted for our new addition coming in November.  I didn't make this with my own pattern, instead I went to and typed in something about crocheting a baby sweater.  And of course I found my favorite guy, mikey, showing me how to make a cute little sweater I made it with a brown and a white combined to make it extra thick... here is the link to help you out.  He gives step by step instructions and explains everything... Now this is only for the actual sweater part... For the hood... I chained 40 and did 9 rows of double crochet... then I folded it in half and single crocheted down the first chain 40 row.  Then I single crocheted it to the sweater... I got this idea from a girl on youtube and here is the link.  But I only did the hood part of what she was showing.  Now the buttons are actually the white on the bottom and brown on the top and the brown is actually in the shape of starts and I actually got this from a pattern for a little high top bootie... Now I have made the booties and pretty soon I will be making some to match this jacket but the star pattern is at the end of the video and here is the link.  It is 38:45 minutes into the video...  For the button holes I just placed my buttons by sewing them in make sure you have the bottom attached to the star or else it will keep coming off ....then I single crocheted down the opposite side and when I reached the button I chained seven then started single crocheting again and did the same thing at the next button

I hope this is helpful... If you have any questions just post to my blog and I will try to help

Happy crocheting!!!!!

I made my daughter a hat!!!

So I made my daughter this awesome hat! It was easy... Now the flower was made by crocheting and the hat was made by knitting. And it was very easy! I made it in less than a day I suggest making the flower first... Only because getting it done makes you feel awesome because it is so cute!!

It is called the Cheerful Crochet Flower and it was a pattern from a fellow blogger... here is the link, it also has a you tube video so it is awesome!!!

Here is the link for the hat! It is super cute and you can really add anything to it if you want to spruce it up... you of course can make it more boyish with of course a different color and putting maybe a pom on it... but it is totally cute!!

My daughter loves her hat and she cant wait to wear it!! Now I am going to finish her blanket... you will see it when it is finished... wish me the best

Crazy dreams during pregnancy

Well, I have confirmed the crazy pregnancy dreams. But this wasn't like my first pregnancy. My first pregnancy I dreamed I was pregnant with twins and my mom (who is a nurse in real life) had to deliver them by c-section, but she only delivered one and then made my two younger sisters sew me up with red yarn. After that, we went to a party... but this dream was interesting. I was pregnant but I was at a house I grew up in Harrison, Mi. This house was a one room cabin that was converted to a two bedroom house. It had concrete floors, so it makes the next part of the dream really weird. A tornado came through and blew the house to where it was teetering on a single piece of wood. It was kind of like a teeter toter if you were on one side it would go to that side and of course if you were on the other side it would lean to that side. Then it took me back to high school, it was completely different from the high school I went to and there was only one person I new, which was a guy named Joe, but the funny thing is that he was in two grades lower than me and his brother was actually the one in my grade. Anyway I got into trouble because I couldn't get up fast enough when I was on the floor and the teacher was going to punish me by having some chic kick me in the stomach. I said "don't I'm pregnant!" Then she stopped and the teacher said Joe had to be my partner and take me to all of my classes. Then I woke up... oh but it didn't stop there. I went to go pee (pregnancy) and came back to go to sleep. Well right when I fell asleep my brain decided to have another dream. This dream was... crazier. If you ever seen the Nickelodeon cartoon Avatar: The Last Air Bender, well I LOVE the cartoon and I have watched every single episode, the beginning of the dream started with me having to teach all of these people how to bend their element, then this guy that came in as tornado (he looked just like what I would think Quin would look from the Sookie Stackhouse series) when he landed down he got mad because of what I was teaching his daughter then I woke up and my husband was laying next to me. I got up to shut the door and I look out and the Quin look alike waved at me. Then next thing I know I really was waking up.... Ok so yeah... pregnancy dreams are crazy.

An Idea

So I have decided to start a blog... Mostly because I am into a lot of different crafty things... and books... and TV shows... and family stuff... not to mention I am pregnant with a little boy who will be my second child... (Big sister (4) is very happy about baby brother!) So a little bit of everything will go into this, including knitting patterns that I have made and also some crocheting ... oh!! Even sewing!!! I hope it goes well... I might even use it as a vent all!!!
